Use these ranges as a starting point. Timing and temperature needs vary by variety, growing stage and conditions. Follow your seed packet for specific instructions. Celsius values are rounded.

From seed to something good.

  1. Start with your seed packet

Check the recommended sowing depth and prepare your growing cubes according to their instructions. Use the chart to plan your seed quantities.

  2. Give your seeds time

Keep conditions consistent and follow the variety-specific moisture, light and temperature guidance. Use the germination window as a guide, not a deadline.

  3. Watch the plant, not just the date

Follow the instructions for transplanting and ongoing care. Check your plants for signs of readiness as their harvest window approaches.

A few things worth knowing.

What does “seeds per cube” mean?

It is the starting number of seeds to sow in one growing cube, rather than the final number of mature plants. Follow your seed packet or growing-system instructions for spacing and thinning.

Are the harvest dates exact?

No. These are planning ranges, and results depend on the variety and growing conditions. Seed suppliers may count days from sowing or transplanting, so check your packet before comparing dates.

How should I use the temperature column?

Treat it as a general reference from the growing chart. Germination and established plants may need different conditions. Check your seed packet for stage-specific guidance, and use the unit buttons to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
